Located in Modica, in the province of Ragusa, Casa VCS is a single-family residence immersed in a landscape of great value, where the rock, a foundational element of the city, constantly interacts with the architecture.

The villa stands on the edge of a valley, on land that gently slopes before suddenly dropping into a steep escarpment, evoking the transformations of the local agricultural terrain. The project draws inspiration from the functional expansions of rural activities from the 1930s, reinterpreted in a contemporary key with essential materials and pure geometries.

In perfect harmony with the project’s style, Barausse supplied flush-to-wall doors perfectly aligned with the surfaces, integrating elegantly and discreetly into the architecture and reinforcing the design language of the residence.
